This is such a a fun, affordable way to help preschoolers learn how to read and prepare for kindergarten! My daughter loves the bright, cheery illustrations. Learning feels like a game. The wood is thin but we’ve had no problems with chipping, etc. Would definitely purchase other items from this product line.

  2. South FL PC User

These letter squares allow for a wide variety of uses. I’ve added a thin magnet square to the back of each and use them on magnet boards. They are perfect for building words, sounding out vowel, cv- and-vc sounds, as well as sorting, spelling and word reading activities. The picture/word cards that come in the set are sturdy and attractive. The wooden letter holders keep individual letters in place. The entir3 kit is a great value!

I truly believe that this spelling game is perfect for learning. I enjoyed teaching my child in the process. Keep in mind that not every child develops the same. My 3 year old didn’t quite have a long span of interest. She did seemed happy to learn and play with the words but 10 minutes in she just walked away. But I it’s truly worth your money and fun to teach with

  4. Shannon

Great CVC practice! Can use with the cards or just the letter blocks! Good quality!

  5. Abby T.

Bought this for my 4-year-old granddaughter who I am teaching how to read right now. The only problem I have is having all those letters in that box made a little bit difficult for her to find letters that she needed. So instead I spread them out on the table and I separated the files from the consonants to try to teach her about it. That way she sees it all on the table. It’s a little more difficult for them at the age of four to find the letters the letter l I’m not a fan of it does not look like a letter. L. It looks more like a jay backwards

  6. Bobbi Sandz

Excellent value. Legible. Fun learning activity! Engaging and fun!

  7. Jackie B

The children are doing well as they use this manipulative.

  8. PATTY JEFFUS

My 23 month old granddaughter enjoys using this.

  9. Zoie Meyer

I like the tactile way this involves my child in learning how to spell. This is also easy to use in line with the “say it, map it, tap it” method that my daughter’s school uses to teach spelling. My only complaint is the pick it comes with to hold all the pieces. I ended up replacing this for a Tupperware container and it held up much better in terms of storage.

  10. EV

Has helped my students that didn’t know how to sound out letters or blend cvc words. They’re making great progress with hands on learning. It’s nice because the tiles and cards have stood up to small group use and don’t show signs of wear and tear.Recommend to anyone learning to read or teaching a new reader.
