Bought this for my 18 month old to take to daycare for their Community Helpers show and tell and the kids there LOVED it. We ended up leaving it there at her Montessori daycare as a gift and the teacher says it’s been great for them.

Bought 1 for each of our boys. Ages 15 months and 3 1/2. They are obsessed! Would be a perfect toddler gift for girls or boys. Great for sorting/color matching too.

I don’t usually write a lot of reviews but this product doesn’t have many so I wanted to add to the few that are here. Such a cute truck! It’s a good size and the bins aren’t flimsy either. The sorting pieces are wooden which makes them sturdy too. If you have a garbage truck lover this is the perfect toy that has a bit more too it than others.

DUKVSG Large Wooden Garbage Truck Toy, Waste Management Recycling Truck Toy with 3 Trash Cans, Educational Toys and Gift for Kids, Toddlers, Boys, Girls 3 4 5 6 7 Years OldOne of my grandsons and his best buddy are enthralled with garbage trucks. On a recent trip to visit their town recycling center, they declared it to be the best day of their lives! Naturally, when I saw this truck I knew that I had to order it.I’m happy to say that this waste management/recycling truck set is one of the best vehicles that I’ve seen in quite awhile. The truck itself is made of wood. It is beautifully finished with rounded edges, smooth surfaces and a careful paint job, included text. It moves very smoothly on carpets and wood floors. The three trash receptacles look exactly like the ones used by many households. There are three of those – a blue one for recyclables, a black one for trash and a green one for organic and food. These are the same colors used by many municipalities. There are 24 wooden cards with pictures of items that can be sorted and put in the appropriate container. They are color coded to self correct where they belong. The receptacles also have the same images on their lids as well as images of items that do not belong. My seven year old critic suggested that they should have the images of the wrong items in a circle with a line through it so everyone could understand it (🚫). We also had a lively discussion about why the cactus and palm tree were not considered organic or food items, which led us to do some research. It turns out that cacti are not allowed because of their spines, though drought resistant plants and succulents without spines are also prohibited. Palm and bamboo items are not allowed because they are too tough to be broken down into compost or mulch. Sometimes it’s difficult to have well educated grandchildren. He proceeded to then question why so many bamboo and palm items that are sold as disposable claim that they are compostable! We’re checking that one out another day.I was totally won over by this truck when he looked at the older waste collector figure and commented how nice it was that the old man still has a job just like his grandfather and I do.Really, this toy has a lot of value for a reasonable price. It’s educational, can be used in a lot of different play scenarios, is well made and fun!

DUKVSG Large Wooden Garbage Truck Toy, Waste Management Recycling Truck Toy with 3 Trash Cans, Educational Toys and Gift for Kids, Toddlers, Boys, Girls 3 4 5 6 7 Years OldThis is a really nice quality wooden toy, similar to the Melissa and Doug brand. It’s really well made. I’m constantly having to explain to my grand kids what goes where, not everything goes straight into the trash, we recycle and compost too. I’m hoping this toy will help my adult daughters too, so they can teach their kids!I think it would be amazing if this toy came with a small book that explained in a way that kids (and adults!) could understand why it’s important to recycle, and the consequences of our wastefulness. The landfills are filling up, trash and plastics make their way into the oceans, etc. Also an explanation of why certain things that seem like they should be in one category are actually in another, for example why are palm fronds trash and not organic?Overall, this is a good quality toy that’s an earth-friendly learning tool. Even for kids too young to understand the message, they can sort the tiles by color and roll the truck around. The little cans are fun to open and close, and to drop in and dump out the tiles. I like how the cans say “Yes” on top and show what items fit in that category, and say “No” on the front and show items that don’t belong in that category.

This has been a fun addition to my four-year-old’s garbage and recycle truck and trash cans collection. We have lots of dollhouse food and drinks we use as trash, so we both have had a good time sorting the cans and bottles into the recycle bin of this set and the rest of the food we distribute into the other two cans. (I highly recommend getting dollhouse food and drink as trash if you have a garbage truck loving child – it has been a HUGE hit!)The trash cans are much larger than the little toy trash cans that come with many other sets – I put a purple trash can from a different set we have in a picture for size comparison.Pros:- Comes with quality trash/recycling tiles. Each of the tiles is color-coded to go in a certain bin, plus each bin has a “yes” picture and “no” picture of what goes in the bin. (Some of the other garbage can sets we include pieces of garbage with bad translations and it isn’t really clear which garbage can they belong in.)- Seems like a sturdy toyCons:- No wheels on trash cans (my son likes how his other toy trash cans have wheels on the bottom)- This is a small thing, but I wish the “yes” list was on the trash can and the “no” list was on the lid (it’s the other way around). When you flip the lid open to fill it with trash, you can no longer see the “yes” list since it is on the lid.One more note: This is may me not knowing all the rules of sorting organic vs. trash, but I don’t fully understand why leaves and grass clippings go in the organic bin while palm trees and cacti (you know, because I’m constantly throwing those away) go in the trash can. Maybe something I could research and teach my child and myself about!Overall, I give this five stars because my cons are really just small nit-picky preferences, and the trash tiles are much higher quality than any other set we have seen. My son has played with these trash cans for HOURS. He mostly plays with the trash cans, the trash tiles, and the truck. He doesn’t seem to really care about the garbage man so far.

My three year old loves this toy!! He was super excited when he first opened it and he still plays with it frequently through the day. It’s a Montessori – type toy which I love, and my son loves how versatile it can be for many different imaginative scenarios. A bonus is that all the pieces are bigger so I don’t have to stress about having it out when the younger kiddo is doing floor time!

My two sons are obsessed with trucks, and they love when the grabage truck rolls through the alley behind our house. This garbage truck toy really knocked it out of the park with them because it has some cool features. The truck has nice details and seems pretty sturdy. It also has individual bins for trash, recycling, etc, which they love to play with. I feel that the truck will probably last forveer, but we will see about the bins.

This toy truck has surpassed my expectations in every way. Its sturdy construction, engaging play features, and eco-friendly design make it a fantastic addition to any child’s toy collection. Not only does it provide hours of entertainment, but it also promotes creativity, responsibility, and environmental awareness. I highly recommend this toy to any parent looking to invest in a high-quality, eco-friendly toy that will keep their child busy and entertained for hours on end.

First of all this a very good quality toy, and will last us for years. Our 21mos daughter loves this toy, loves taking out the tokens with illustrations and putting them back into the bins. Of course she doesn’t get the coloring right, but she will master that skill soon enough, for now she is learning what all we throw away in our bins, our daughter is very observant and detail oriented. When her almost 3 year old friend came over, she was so into this toy as well. The truck can be used for imagination play without the bins too. This truly is a very unique toy, if you’re not sure to get it, then you should, this teaching responsibility at any age.The only thing/piece my wife is not sure about is what the old wooden man sweeping has to do with this garbage truck lol
