10 reviews for Thule Urban Glide 2 Jogging Stroller

  1. LongRunsAndLongerNaps

This is my second Urban Glide. I also bought the single when my first child was born. What the Thule Urban Glide has better than other jogging strollers at this price point is the handlebar breaks. Although I haven’t used the other similarly priced jogging strollers outside of a show room, I can tell you that this feature alone is the reason to go with Thule. When you’re running downhill and want to slow the stroller to match your pace or need to stop on a dime, the handlebar breaks add an extra dimension of safety for you and your passengers. The strollers in this higher price point seem to all have good suspension and tires that can be inflated for a smooth ride. Like other strollers, the Thule has a front wheel that can be locked in place for faster running speeds or unlocked for easy turns or uneven ground. My single Urban Glide was decent at going on soft trails but I haven’t tried that with the double yet.I also have used a single Graco jogging stroller when I visit family out of state, and it handles really well at a fraction of the price. Moreover the Graco comes with a built in tray for the little passenger AND doesn’t need an additional carseat adapter. These higher end strollers make you buy those separately! However, to get those extra bells and whistles that make a longer run/walk more enjoyable, you’ll probably look at the pricier jogging strollers. And if you do, and you’re convinced you want to spend about double the price of a Graco, go ahead and get the Urban Glide. It’s the best.

  2. M-Family

Game changing stroller. It’s smooth on any terrain, and turns on a dime! So light to push and maneuver even with two kiddos inside.1 walk.2 kids napping.Huge win for mom and dad.

  3. Amazon Customer

It is one of the best 3 wheel strollers I have used – very smooth on every surface we have been since purchasing it.

I got this stroller for my daughter who is expecting a baby next month. She did some research and told me what to buy. She really likes it

  5. Haley SulserHaley Sulser

Just got it, but so far pretty impressed. Wanted to review to share a few things I wish I would’ve seen to make my decision easier.Cons:-looks like taller toddlers will size out of this stroller pretty fast. Mine isn’t even two yet and you can see how he fits. Great for now.-the shades are just not as covering as some others. We live in a sunny climate and will have to be diligent with sunscreen/some other shade cover in the summer/sunniest of times.-the Thule infant insert is a joke. Saw it at a local store, and glad we did. I had already bought the Bumbleride insert and we figured out that it worked great in the Thule, I’d recommend that 10x over thule’s and would consider aftermarket products next.-doesn’t come with ANY accessories-I also thought the Thule parent console was junky (the way it attaches is cantilevered?!) I got a regular one which is great since the handlebar is angled (you can use a single stroller caddy instead of needing to buy a double one). So this is sort of a pro!-why only black?-the peekaboo windows have that crap plastic that always eventually cracks and looks yellow. I might cut it out, because it also has netting, which is confusing.Pros:-so much sleeker than other double strollers…no exposed springs, shocks, etc.-our toddler seemed a lot more comfortable than the single Bob alterrain we have. I’m not sure if it’s cushier or a better angle or both.-love a 3 piece buckle much better than a 5 piece like the bobs and bumblerides.-sooo easy to push! I can’t wait until I can run with this thing.-with an insert, this thing can definitely work for a newborn (not for running, but for walking).-it’s definitely lighter and easier to fold than the others we considered.-basket is fairly large and has a cover…for being in crowded spaces, this will make me feel better about putting a purse down there.

Can’t believe we spent twice as much money on a Nuna and this thing is better in every aspect. Folds up smaller, more durable, can handle grass/curbs/bumpy roads no problem, way more maneuverable, and it’s super comfy for the 10 month old. I could go on, but tl;dr I am happy

  7. vuhat

My normal run is a 2 mile loop, with 300 feet of elevation gain along winding roads in a tropical climate, and this stroller works perfectly for those conditions.Springiness in the front wheel lock is awesome:Even with the front wheel locked in place, there is still some springiness in the locking mechanism, allowing the stroller to easily navigate turns with a 15ft radius. This is great for running on winding roads or switchbacks, but probably not ideal for sharp sidewalk corners (but in those scenarios, you can simply keep the front wheel unlocked).Front wheel trim adjustment is critical:The front wheel has a dial that changes its pointing direction by a few degrees left or right. Adjusting this makes a big different in keeping a symmetric stance when running on straight roads. Many strollers don’t have this sort of adjustment feature.Sun shade is adjustable, and gives ample coverage:Living in the tropics, we often have unexpected scattered showers. Despite this, we’ve decided to not get a rain cover. The stroller’s shade can be extended quite far, so during light or medium rains, baby mostly stays dry, except his ankles and feet.Handbrake is super super helpful on hills:This stroller is quite heavy, and adding on a 20lb baby means that you’re managing around 50 lbs of loaded stroller. This is straightforward on flats, but can be a little scary on hills. Having a handbrake helps me stay in control when going down steeper downhills. The zippered pocket is a nice touch:I used to carry my ID & keys in my pocket while running. But, I now place these in the small zippered pocket in the bottom of the stroller, and I know that everything is secure and won’t fall out.Minor nitpick: This is a heavy and big strollerWe have a Hyundai Ioniq hatchback, and the stroller just barely fits in the trunk, even with the back wheels removed. If you have a compact vehicle, double check the stroller’s collapsed dimensions. It’s also quite heavy, which makes it a bit annoying to move around while folded. This is currently the only stroller we own, and we are seriously considering purchasing a super compact stroller for grocery shopping and other day trips, since this stroller is quite unwieldy for indoor or crowded spaces, or for transporting around every day.

Best stroller and investment ever! I have the bin single stroller as well as britax b-free single stroller and needed to upgrade to a double as I had a second son… was debating between many doubles but so glad I got this one! It literally glides like butter on the ground, regardless of what you’re rolling on (concrete, dirt, grass etc) and also it feels like I am pushing air! It has no weight and I can easily go up and down hills without an issue or feeling heavy! I bought this vs the double bob given it has a hand brake (I like to rollerblade!) and also an infant seat adapter for my 3 month old. It seems easier to push then the bob, it’s also less bulky and much lighter to pick up, it’s very sturdy but Lightweight, and I know it will last us a few good years! I’m excited to take my kids to the park and adventures everyday in this stroller! It fits easily through a standard doorway and I can see myself taking it everywhere we go, it’s so nice, great looking and perfect! My son also likes the “big brother” stand I bought with it which fits perfectly (2 years old), and he also loved the seat, it’s comfy and the recline wasn’t too far back at all, it was a good angle and he could see just fine! He likes the big shade over his head too.. it completely blocked the sun! Also we have no issues with the wheels wobbling! Be weary of the negative reviews, until you try this gem out for yourself! My friend also has one and calls it GOLD! It really is. Invest in a good stroller, invest in THULE! 🙂

  9. Kyle Millerick

I give the Thule Urban Glide 2 Jogging Stroller a raving 5-star review! This stroller is an absolute game changer for active parents. It is designed for jogging and provides a smooth and stable ride for both parent and child. The stroller is lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it perfect for city streets or off-road adventures. The swivel front wheel allows for easy navigation in tight spaces, while the locking feature provides added stability when jogging. The adjustable handlebar and hand-operated rear drum brakes are a plus, giving me full control of the stroller at all times. The seat is also very comfortable and spacious, providing plenty of room for my child to grow. The canopy provides ample shade and the adjustable calf support is great for little legs. The stroller also has a large storage basket and a water-resistant phone pocket. Overall, I highly recommend the Thule Urban Glide 2 Jogging Stroller for anyone looking for a high-performance and versatile stroller for their active lifestyle.

This is my second Thule running stroller and I can’t say enough good things about it. I purchased the thule single running stroller after having my first child and loved it so much I immediately bought this after we had our second child. Both are fantastic! Having run Boston, NYC, Chicago, and a bunch of other marathons I knew I had to have a way to continue my training despite now being a mom and these strollers are the answer. They are extremely easy to maneuver (one handed if you want), light weight to push (although my kids are not), and designed not to interfere with your natural stride. I love that you can recline each seat separately (baby sleeps while toddler points out squirrels). They have large canopies to protect from sun and rain. The underneath storage can fit a whole diaper bag or just a few essentials for the run. You have the convenience of both a hand and foot brake plus the wrist safety strap for when your hands are sweating and you are running down hill. The seats and child harnesses are well padded giving the kids a comfortable ride (my daughter who never sits still asks to go out in the stroller every day). The suspension allows the kids to keep napping even on trail runs. I also love the two button release of the harness for that extra security. It’s of course not a stroller for taking to the grocery store but it does fold and open easily and I can lift it without any trouble being only 5’3″ and 125 lbs. All in all, an awesome running stroller that allows you to train long miles and keep your kids happy. Plus when you race it feels like you are flying without pushing that extra weight. Happy trails!
