    Our last gate to secure the pantry area from the dogs was a pain the butt. We literally had to climb over which sucked. So I found this one…tall enough, nice looking and EASY EASY EASY to use! So nice not trying to trip each time we get in or out of the area. It installed easily (directions are a bit off but kinda normal these days) and it fit our large hall area just fine. Works like a charm. I had it installed in less than 15 minutes. Looks like it will be a winner.

    The media could not be loaded. Ended up buying 2 gates to get all the pieces needed to fit 1 entrance. But also used the second gate in another area.Initially the gate was wobbly because using the 1 small section left too much space and the large section was too big . So I bought a second gate and used 2 small sections. It fit the area perfectly and I was able to use the second gate in the hallway with one large section. It worked great for me and I was able to create a secluded area for my dogs to roam.However, the issue with the gate being wobbly isn’t due to a design flaw, it’s how much space you have between the wall and the adjustable screws. The screw needs to be far enough into the gate that it doesn’t allow for movement AND the gate sections need to be long enough and fit together well with the screws not fully exposed. Therefore this gate might not fit every doorway properly with the sections provided.I would suggest that individual sections of this gate be sold separately.You can also try adjusting all screws to ensure they are evenly exposed on both sides top and bottom. That may also help.

    I have several of these gates in strategic locations around the house for my dogs. It is super easy to install. They are very durable and can withstand knocks from the dogs. It locks easily and can be operated with a single hand. I do have two gates by two sets of stairs and they work really well. They are easy to clean and look good.

    I’ve been trying to understand all the negative reviews of this item. I don’t quite understand it and I have to put it down to people not understanding how to install it properly.This is a sturdy metal gate with two extensions, one for either side. I have a 43.5″ opening to my back hallway. I needed an extra wide gate so i picked one up at a local store. It was very high and was very, very hard to step over. I decided I needed one with a gate for walking through.I found this one here on Amazon but balked when reading some of the reviews about it being “a plastic piece of junk”, “unsteady and easily pushed over”, etc. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt since I’m on prime and could receive it quickly and make my own judgement. I figured I’d return either the one I bought locally or this one depending on how it went.Installation:For my opening (again 43.5″) I needed one of the extenders. They are two different sizes and I used the bigger of the two. Maybe some of the people who had stability issues with the gate used the wrong size extender? IDK…So the gate has these threaded rods you spin to close the gap between the extender and the wall. They are really easy to adjust because they have adjustment knobs built right in.NOTE*** – People mentioning that the gate and latch don’t line up may have not realized that they do have a gap but once it is tightened in place, that gap closes up. So looking at the gate out of the box you could say it doesn’t line up properly but once tightened up and in place it’s lined up perfectly.Within 5 minutes I had this thing tightened up and installed just fine. The swinging gate works like a champ and the locking mechanism is easy to use. I did read about people having problems with the latch but you basically just pull back the latch release on top and lift the gate up to open. You have to lift it because it has a piece that goes over the bottom rail to keep the gate steady on the bottom end.One thing I didn’t do is screw the wall receivers into the wall. It comes with screws to do this but I wanted to check out the functionality before screwing them in. To anyone saying that a child or anyone else could knock this over, obviously didn’t screw the wall receivers into a solid wooden part of the wall. If they had, you’d have to bend the entire gate to get it out of those and “knock it over”.So…. Sorry for the long review but I hate seeing products get slammed for peoples failings in installation. I seriously wanted to pass on this item but I’m very glad I didn’t. Worth the price and I won’t be face planting in the middle of the night headed to the bathroom anymore.

    Bought this gate because we have an stubborn dog that has been a nightmare to house train, so we got this gate to keep him in the kitchen at night and something we didn’t have to take down and put up all the time. Extra benefit is my 2 year old grandson can’t open it. Definitely a great gate and great quality.

    No having to jump or hurt yourself trying to step over. Easy set up and removal. The perfect size of what I needed. Make sure to take measurements to assure proper width you need.

    Installed on back porch to allow puppy to go out and bask in the sunshine without supervision! However, I recommend placing fender washers inside the plastic cups that receive the hand-tightened “stiffeners” which provide the stability of the unit. Also, on the stiffeners’ screw shafts I installed 2 nuts which I used as a lock (tightened against each other) to prevent loosening of the stiffeners over time. Great gate! I rated the “easy to install” feature only 4 stars simply because the installation would have been much easier with a 3rd hand.

    I have multiples of this gate. I love that I don’t have to puncture my wall and I can easily take them down when I need to (e.g. moving furniture). Some gates the door swings only one way but these swing both ways making it very convenient to walk through. Easy to install and very sturdy
