First,choose the branches of a sturdy hardwood tree – oaks are ideal! Avoid fruit trees,evergreens,or trees that split easily.
Then,tie the rope or the straps in the hanging kit around the tree branch and adjust to your desired angle,done! Such a great fun to your backyard !

Hung these under our fishing camp for the kids and they love them. My wife loves them too. They were very easy to install and after 3 months they have held up nicely so far. The wood gets a little discolored but we are on the bay and have the Louisiana humidity to deal with. So far so good.

This swing is very nice and sturdy. It’s easy to hang with straps that are sold separately. The wood will eventually turn brown from the sun and rain as wood does if not protected with some kind of coating. So, here it is one year later and it’s weathered in color but holding up nicely.

I love relaxing in the swing! It was easy to hang and adjust (although I did buy some extra straps to wrap around the branch because the ropes weren’t quite long enough without them). I bought some sealant for it because it was suggested it might not hold up to sun and rain, but the sealant wasn’t necessary (it didn’t absorb on the test spot I tried on the underside and the sealant can said that meant the wood didn’t need it). I’ve had it almost 3 weeks and it’s been out in the sun and rain and so far everything is great. The swing is contributing to my happy summer, making me relive carefree childhood days.

My sister and I easily hung this on a tree in my yard with some additional rope and carabiners. It’s very sturdy and I have plenty of space when I sit on it so it doesn’t hurt my sides. I took of one star for comfort because if you are wearing shorts and you sit on it for a while it starts to bite into your thighs a little. I easily avoid this by wearing pants or capris.

This is a good looking swing. By reading the Q and As just now, I figured out you can raise the height. So nice. It may need some polyurethane on it to keep it looking good-I read one reviewer that mentioned after a year he sanded and painted it.

My nieces love it! is comfortable and looks really nice! Love the fact that you can still adjust the height/rise anytime after you permanently install it. I suggest sanding the edges and also apply a water sealer to the wood seats afterward. it will last longer outside.

This is the prettiest swing seat I ever owned! Even being 57 years old I still love to swing! With its shape/ slots the rain water can not stay on the surface as good vs. a solid peace of wood. That should make this swing last a long time, if I take it inside in the winter. I only wished it was a little wider. This is more intended for kids than for grown ups! 🙂 But if you are small built like me, that is not a problem.
