I am so pleasantly surprised! Searched for weeks looking for booster seats for my petite 5 year old. As the 4th child you’d think it wouldn’t be such a challenge, but different kid, different needs, different phase of life. He’s a petite kid, so I didn’t want anything too big and unsupportive, and I didn’t want arm rests because I needed him to be able to begin buckling and unbuckling himself for school pickups/drop offs starting in fall. There’s hardly any no arm test options so it came down to this and the Maxi Cosi. I am SO glad I went with this, even at $100 more, I couldn’t be happier.First: The rigid latch is just genius. Such a time saver and so smart. It’s really lightweight yet feels super solid and super safe. The seat part is sooo squishy and soft! So are the headwings, which don’t protrude too much. I didn’t love that the Maxi’s was air filled which was another reason I chose Peg. I love the multi adjustment as he grows and the recline feature is AWESOME!! Works even latched in! He’s just turned 5 but still naps and sleeps in the car so this is really great. The practically invisible pull out cup holders also genius. The licorice color we got blends seamlessly with my interior with its leather accents. So luxurious! Overall I just can not find a single complaint. He’s perfectly snug and safe. I’m not a fan of moving him out of a 5 point but with school and such it’s almost a must. I feel he’s really safe in this seat!

Our grandbaby was outgrowing the car seat, often complaining everything was too tight and felt squished in, despite the straps and cushions at the limits of adjustment. I started searching for a suitable replacement, one that is of course, very safe, and yet easier for grandbaby to get in and out of. This is wonderful seat, well designed, well made, and adjustable for both height and width growth. It is easy to put in the car using the two clip things that snap onto the child seat latches in our car/truck, making it easy to move from one vehicle to another. Grandbaby loves it as view out the window is now unobstructed by padded wings. Don’t get me wrong our previous car seat was great too, snug that baby right in and down tight restricting almost all movement, I often compared putting the grandbaby in the car seat with all the buckles and straps to my experience driving a stock car many years ago where the crew member shoves you down and holds you while buckling you in.Anyway I digress, grandbaby loves the new ride and I love the easy to use features. Hope this helps you decide.

This booster carseat is a total game changer. I had been using a backless booster for my 6 yr old grandchild and I was not happy with it at all. This seat was a little on the pricey side but after a lot of research I decided to buy it. Turned out to be a great decision. This seat is very generous in size yet has a compact footprint in the car. Super easy to install, love the rigid latch system. The adjustments are very simple to accommodate the size of your child and it’s easy to buckle the seatbelt around. Granddaughter states its very comfortable and her head stays up when she falls asleep on long rides. Perfect seat for us.

I’m a car seat psycho (for safety) and I’ve tried multiples of every version of seat (infant, convertible, HBB…) to find the very best of the best. After 3 different HBBs, this Peg Flex is the holy grail. Here’s why:It doesn’t have arm rests so your kid can actually do the buckle unassisted. This is huge because you go from a kid that can do their convertible seat straps to a kid that needs to be assisted in finding the buckle every.single.time. in every boosterthat has arm rests. This seat and the Maxi Cosi Rodifix are thus winners in this category. The Flex has a more narrow footprint than others because it doesn’t have armrests. Need 3 kids to ride? Need 2 to sit next to one another? You’re golden. You can park the Flex next to a variety of seats without issue. I have one next to a Nuna Pipa and a Clek Foonf in a Land Rover Discovery (which doesn’t have the broadest back seat). The Flex adjusts in 4 directions so your picky big kid can decide exactly how the seat is best for them.As with all Peg Perego products, the fabrics are OUTSTANDING. We have the “licorice” version of the Flex, which is a combo of really soft, highly padded fabrics touching the body and edges with really gorgeous leather finished with white top stitching. This seat isn’t more expensive than its competitors, buy it looks and feels like it should be. Super gorgeous, even if you have a luxury car-quality interior. This seat “makes my buns feel the happiest of any car seat I’ve ever had!” per my 7 year old. If that isn’t a rousing endorsement, I don’t know what is.The seat belt shoulder clip is well-designed so that the belt easily pulls through and retracts without issue (this was a constant issue with the RodiFix, the Oobr, and, to a lesser extent, the Britax Parkway in both my Honda Odyssey and the Discovery). The folding mechanism seems like a “so what” feature, but is actually really handy. I’ve used it a handful of times in only a few weeks as I’ve found myself suddenly needing cargo room. I just remove and fold up the Flex, park it on the front floor, and collapse it’s 2nd row seat. Super easy and quick. The latch release and install lever is also delightfully straightforward to use.All in all, there isn’t anything to complain about with this seat. Not even the little pull out cup holders. They’re not indestructible, but most European-made seats don’t even offer an add on option (like the RodiFix). I also don’t mind that there’s no bottom as I won’t ever have to discover some sort of weird goo science experiment at the bottom of one!

My son is 10. He’s 4’ 4” and 86lbs. He has severe autism and a few other medical issues. Up until now he has been in a 5 point harness. We struggled with finding something safe to use as a booster. The fact that I can adjust the height and width separately is great. The cup holders are flimsy so we don’t dare use them and the sides feel like they may break if he pushes off of them to get out of the car. But overall we are very pleased with the seat. Bonus points for the fact it s a slim design so it doesn’t cover up the seatbelt when I’m trying to buckle him in.

This is a slim booster with full back support. Everything appears to be quite comfortable for my 5 year old who meets the height and weight requirements. We needed something slim to fit in the back of a smaller car and it does the job well. Although it is more expensive than other options, I’ve known Peg Perego to not skimp on quality and safety. This looks to be a very nice option for traveling as well since the seat can fold when not in use. Installation was a breeze once you are able to get it latched inside of the tighter vehicle.

I was hesitant to spend this much on a booster seat, but we have 2 driving factors:1-this has to last us through 4 kids, so quality, safety and a safe long expiry are all essential to us. The Peg Perego brand is amazing; we have the infant carrier and it still looks like new even nearly 7 years later which is impressive, even our delivery OB (we just had baby #4) saw it and asked if it was brand new!). We also have Peg Perego in a convertible and it is wearing amazingly well as well.2-ease of cleaning, again going through 4 kids…we opted for the leather and I’d no doubt do that over and over again. Back with baby #1 we opted for an “extra” convertible (Graco) for our second car and just 4 years later it looks like absolute heck…and will even be expiring next year which puts us in a predicament to have to buy yet another convertible just before our qualifying kid is ready for this booster…had we just bit the bullet and stayed with Peg Perego we wouldn’t have that issue and we’d be all set with no money lost! Agh hindsight is 20/20.This booster we opted for the non-removing high back for more safety since our current qualifying kid is on the younger and smaller side of the growth spectrum. We eventually will purchase the backless booster as our oldest grows and we shuffle the kids through all the car seats and boosters. This high-back booster looks amazing and feels amazing (according to our son), and he’s always so excited to go for car rides because it looks “big boy” for him and he can easily buckle himself in the way-back. It also is super easy to travel with and remove quick when more cargo space is needed. The only con I’d say is that it comes with the LATCH locks which I thought was really great, but upon installation we realized that our car model (VW Atlas) dissuades using those for boosters..so the LATCH locks are useless for us but that’s really not a big deal and wouldn’t have changed our decision in the slightest. So, stick with Peg Perego. You will not be disappointed!

I love this booster. It’s sturdy and high quality. The height and width are widely adaptable to truly fit larger kids. My kids are 4’4” and 4’5”, they both fit with more room to grow. My daughter had grown out of her Chicco Kidfit, and my son was close to growing out of it despite being well under the height and weight maximums, and still needing boosters for 4-5” of growth. I believe this Peg Perego will fit to the actual maximums. I love how much space is inside this booster with the narrow profile! Both my 9 and 10 year old can use it on the narrowest setting. This seat did not work in my Chevy Cruze, the roof of my car curves down and the headrest of the booster hits at my kid’s current heights. In our Prius there is still quite a bit of room above the headrest for continued expansion.I’ve attached pictures of the booster next to a measuring tape, I couldn’t find measurements of the height and depth of the side-wings anywhere and I think the measurements are helpful when trying to figure out if seats will puzzle well. Here, I have the booster puzzled nicely next to a rather high profile rear facing convertible. Not much room to buckle, but it would have fit if I had more head space in that vehicle. One thing I wish was different is the seat depth. As you can see, my child could use more seat depth, but he says it’s comfortable and doesn’t mind. Also, we noticed that the seat offers more support of his thighs when the seat is reclined, we are happy with that option. One other shortfall of this delivery was that the seat arrived already almost a year old. The seat is being advertised as a 12 year expiration and while that amount of time seems abundant for a booster, it was a huge advantage for me as I need a booster for my big kids for maybe 2 years, and a new baby for up to 12 years from now. This is a great booster!

I usually don’t write reviews, although I keep promising myself that I will start so that others can get additional perspective. I value the honest reviews I see, so I want others to get valuable information, as well.So here’s my first review. My daughter loves the seat. She’s 7 years old. Just under 60 lbs and 4’ tall. We’ve been forward facing and in boosters for a while. We’ve made that transition sooner than most people might because of her weight and desire to see the outside world. But we’ve always ensured we’re using safe products. Whether they are $100 or $500.I have to admit I wasn’t thrilled about the price tag on this booster seat. But I was impressed with the flexibility of the movements with this seat, and that there were no armrests which would make buckling easier. The flexibility of the adjustment pieces means that there is support for the torso and head independently, which we need to ensure the back and head remain supported when the base is reclined (the reason we needed a new booster as I changed my vehicle that had reclining seats).I have to agree with two other reviewers who said 1) the bottom tethers do not fit every vehicle and 2) it is not secure at the top. There is no top tether. But that is easily fixable with the purchase of an independent tether. I wrapped one around the middle piece between the head rest and the back and crossed them so that the right side is tethered top left, and the left side is tethered top right. That is because the seat would only latch for us in the middle seat.I also bought one of those lap adjusters because I’m not certain the seatbelt remains fastened at the hips instead of riding up on the stomach. And so far the system has been working well for us.Again, it won’t work for every car. And there’s no top tether. But with a few slight adjustments it works for us. Although since it’s in the middle seat we lost the pull down section that she puts her drinks in and had to purchase something for that purpose. We’re still happy with the purchase and considering buying another one for dad’s car.

My kid calls this her “luxury seat” which is high praise from a kid who wants to ride without a booster. It fits my narrow (15” width between the buckles) vehicle seat well. The lack of arm rests make it appear like more of a big kid booster and simplifies seatbelt buckling. If you currently could chart the time it takes for your kid to buckle in hours, the speed of buckling with this seat will really impress. The seat feels well made and isn’t flimsy like some of the others we tried. The LATCH connectors provide a lot of stability! The folding feature is great when we need to move the seat around. The only change I would make it to make the seat a tiny bit smaller in folded form. Folded, It is a hair over the average allowed US carry-on size for flights. We don’t fly our seats in cargo to limit possibly of damage in transit, so this won’t work as a travel seat over the tiniest of margins. Parents love it, kid loves it, overall A+. Everyone is happy and riding safe.
