So what’s the deal with Fred, anyways?
At Fred, we celebrate individuality and the little things in life that make people happy. Fred is made up of a ragtag group of designers and product development specialists who are devoted to bringing amusing, intriguing and useful ideas to life. We’re also devoted to beer . . . and cake. Working from our renovated factory offices in Pawtucket, RI, we each bring our own blend of unique ideas, tastes and backgrounds to Fred’s table. It’s a stew for success! And fun. We have a ton of fun.

We got more out of this sponge than we expected. Our 4 year old loved using this when it was still in one piece. We’ve been having trouble getting our son to wash his body or be compliant in the bathtub. This sponge was a fun way to get our son to start enjoying a good bathe. It lathers up nicely too. It’s fun to put the bar of soap in the mouth of the tiger and play games. Anyway, great enjoyment until one day when I found it in shreds. Nothing against the product. Just one of those toddler destructive things.

My daughter loves tigers and bath time, so this was a no brainer! It’s adorable, exactly like the picture, with vivid colors, and after 5 or so baths it’s still retained its color and shape well. My daughter loves pretending it’s eating her while she washes — whatever gets her clean!

This shark bath sponge is adorable! I got it for my kids to use at bathtime. They really like sharks, so this was the perfect choice for them! I did not realize that it was the Fred brand until I went to write this review… my sons have had a few of the Fred Koi Goldfish bath toys over the years… it is a favorite!! Anyway, I expect that this sponge has a similar high quality as the goldfish. They have used it a few times so far, and they play with it too! The sponge is dense, absorbs a lot of water. You do have to put a lot of soap on it to get it to be sudsy. Durability should be decent, though I think the jaw of the shark will end up being ripped off eventually. I will update the review if the sponge quality declines sooner than I would expect. Price-wise, this is kinda pricey at $7. Sponge did come in a nice box that makes it very giftable. Overall, a cute, fun bath sponge, hopefully will stand up to lots of play and washes!

This is a very fun sponge for kids bath/shower time. My 4.5 year old son thought that it was super funny that the tiger was “biting” his arm when we were trying to wash off some stamps that he got during soccer class earlier that day. Normally when trying to wash off those stamps with a hand towel, it takes a while and usually I can’t get it all off after a couple of rubs (can’t go too long because my son will start to move around and want his arm back to play). This tiger sponge, using the mouth, was able to get it off in less than a minute and because my son found it so funny that the tiger was “eating” the stamps, he let me rub it longer as well. It didn’t leave any irritation on my son’s arm at all and it absorbed water quickly and kept the soap inside well. I would highly recommend this product to others.

Okay, so I am full-grown adult. I bought this for me because it looked fun. I enjoy that it isn’t super-soft..I can use it like a loufa…but for a child this might be a little rough.

I love this brands items. The items are unique! And especially this sponge, how cute is the tiger. It looks exactly as pictured, and the colors do not fade. The sponge pops right back out after it dries. Great quality and design.
